DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS
PLEASANT VALLEY STATE PRISON
Paul Cruz, Chief Engineer of the Pleasant
Valley State Prison installed Vaughan Submersible Chopper Pumps in his lift station,
eliminating the existing pre-screening basket and associated labor. Paul had this to
say in a letter dated February 20, 1997 to Vaughan Authorized Representative Brad Rockwell
of Rockwell Engineering:
Dear
Mr. Rockwell:
"I
just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all your assistance in the
remodeling of our Influent Pump Lift Station. It has been nine months since the
installation of your Vaughan pump. As of this time, I am still very satisfied and
impressed with the performance of this system. As you are aware, we have since
installed three more of your pumps. Also, as a result of using your pumps, we were
able to eliminate the need to use the pre-screening basket that we had with the old
system. This is an excellent side benefit to me since it has eliminated the time
consuming process of cleaning the pre-screening basket, and dealing with the debris it
also filtered out.
To
this day, I still encounter side benefits. If you should ever need to demonstrate
the effectiveness of your system in the field, please feel free to call on me. I am
very certain that since your pumps are working so well in this environment that they will
work anywhere. Once again, I would like to say thank you for all your
assistance."
Sincerely,
PAUL
CRUZ
